YWCA Palestine Funds Eight New Projects of Young Women Entrepreneurs from Hebron Governorate

The YWCA of Palestine announced, on Tuesday 1 March, funding for new eight projects of young women entrepreneurs from Hebron Governorate through “Manarat” project, funded by The Women's Peace & Humanitarian Fund (WPHF), within round two of grants for income-generating projects.
The association held a meeting before the announcement, last Saturday 26 March, in Hebron to evaluate the new projects submitted by young women who are beneficiaries of “Manarat” from different areas in Hebron Governorate. Based on the evaluation results, eight projects were selected.
The YWCA of Palestine started the implementation of “Manarat” project in 2020, which ends in April 2022. The project has targeted more than 200 young women and representatives of grassroots women’s organizations in nine communities north of Hebron Governorate. Through the project, the beneficiaries have received training in different areas, including personal skills, entrepreneurship, business management, project planning, and feasibility Studies. The project has also supported the capacity-building of the targeted grassroots women’s organizations and 13 income-generating projects of a group of young women.
