YWCA Palestine Prepares to Launch "Basmah" Project
YWCA Palestine delegates met with representatives of the Governorates of Tulkarm, and Tubas and the Northern Valleys ahead of launching “Basmah”, a project the YWCA will implement through funding from the African Women's Development Fund. The project aims to empower women and young women through safe spaces and leadership opportunities.
The delegates together with the Governor of Tulkarm discussed several projects and programs that serve the needs of the local community, especially young women. They also met with several organizations in the governorate.
They also discussed ways of collaboration in projects that serve women and young women with the Deputy Governor of Tubas and the Northern Valleys, the Mayor of Tubas, and the Director of Women's Development.
The delegates as well met with a number of women and young women from Tubas to listen to their needs.
