The YWCA of Palestine Conducts Introductory Workshops of "Shamal" Project

The YWCA of Palestine conducted three introductory workshops to "Shamal" project in its target areas, namely the Jalazone, Dheisheh, and Al Aroub refugee camps. The project aims to promote the protection and reintegration of women who are victims of violence as well as the survivors in marginalized areas in addition to creating safe spaces for them. The workshops included an introduction to the YWCA, the project and its objectives as well as legal discussions. The participants also filled out a needs assessment survey. During the workshops, a memorandum of understanding was signed with the project partner organizations, including the YWCA’s Community Training Center in Jalazone camp, Ibda’ Cultural Center in Dheisheh camp, and the Phoenix Center “Al Finieq” in Al Aroub camp. “Shamal” is funded by UN Womemunity Training Center in Jalazone camp, Ibda’ Cultural Center in Dheisheh camp, and the Phoenix Center “Al Finieq” in Al Aroub camp. “Shamal” is funded by UN Women.
