The YWCA of Ramallah Graduates the 19th and 20th Cohorts of its Office Management Program Students

The YWCA of Ramallah celebrated the graduation of the 19th and 20th cohorts of its Vocational Training Center Office Management program students on Saturday 4 September 2021 in a ceremony that was attended by the President of the YWCA of Palestine Haifa Baramki, and its General Secretary Amal Tarazi as well as the Board President of the YWCA of Ramallah Ibtisam Abu Diho and its members, the VTC teachers and the graduates’ families.
The ceremony was commenced with the national anthem of Palestine followed by a welcoming speech by Director of the VTC Diala Shaheen who congratulated the graduates and their families highlighting the fact that the ceremony was supposed to be held in 2020 but was postponed due to COVID19.
The Executive Director of the YWCA of Ramallah Ropina Rafidi expressed her joy at organizing this annual ceremony, which celebrates the outstanding success of the association over the course of the previous years in the field of vocational training. She emphasized that the Office Management program aims to provide the students with the necessary skills to be able to work in the different companies and organizations in Palestine.
She added that the association strives to empower young women and men and enable them to compete in the labor market through its vocational training as well as the different economic empowerment programs and its work dedicated to eliminating gender-based violence.
Rafidi congratulated the graduates and their families emphasizing that the obtained diploma will open many doors for them in the labor market and is their first step towards success and contribution to positive change in their communities.
In her graduation speech, the valedictorian Roaa Al Ghola stressed that the skills she acquired through the program have created many job opportunities for her. She thanked all the staff members of the association for their continued support throughout her academic journey.
At the end of the ceremony, the association honored its former Board President Laila Khoury and the outstanding students, and the graduates received their certificates.
