The YWCA of Palestine Completes a Series of Training Workshops Within "Wujood" Project

The YWCA of Palestine completed a series of training workshops within "Wujood" project under the title "International Law, Human and Women's Rights, and Mechanisms for the Protection of Women's Rights under UNSCRs1325 and 2250". Phase one included training of trainers (TOT) workshops around international resolutions using the training manual on UNSCRS 1325 and 2250. In phase two, youth from local partner organizations took part in the planning and implementation of campaigns in the project target communities, including the villages of Deir Abu Masha'al, Cobar, Arora, and Mazari' al-Nubani, as well as the Jalazone refugee camp in Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate. At the end of the 80-hour workshops, the participants submitted ideas for community-based initiatives within the context of international resolutions. Accordingly, the YWCA is working with local partners in the target communities to implement the initiatives, which aim to support women and youth.
