The YWCA of Palestine Concludes Round One of Its Internship Program
The YWCA of Palestine concluded round one of its internship program, in which a group of young women took part who were chosen out of a great number of applicants. We launched this program last year, in response to COVID19 pandemic, to help Palestinian youth to develop their capacities so they can compete in the marketplace and contribute to their economic empowerment so they can overcome the economic challenges created by the pandemic.

Through the program, the interns have gained practical experience and been able to develop their skills and have contributed their own professional experiences to the different programs of the association; youth, women and economic empowerment programs.

A small ceremony was organized to honor the interns, which was attended by our National Director Amal Tarazi, program managers and a number of the association's staff members and its volunteers. The ceremony was preceded by an evaluation activity of the internship led by our Youth Program Director Shadi Zatara, which focused on the different phases of the internship, and lessons learned. The interns received certificates of completion of internship which lasted for eight months filled with challenges and different experiences.

It is worth mentioning that we have launched call for round two of the program starting in the few weeks to come.
