The YWCA of Palestine Conducts a Meeting with YW4A Project Partner Organizations

The YWCA of Palestine conducted a virtual meeting with YW4A project partner organizations under the Power of Women program funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Netherlands. These organizations include Women and Media Development (TAM), the Psycho- Social Counseling Center for Women (PSCCW), Al Harah Theater, and Stars of Hope Society in addition to the international partner Equality Now that is responsible for the legal advocacy campaigns within the project.

The goal of the meeting was to assess the advocacy work of local organizations and specify the priority topics of the advocacy campaigns that will be implemented throughout the project. The partner organizations stressed the importance of continuing to lobby for the adoption of the Family Protection Bill and working to amend the Personal Status Law to ensure gender equality and that it is sensitive to women with disabilities. YW4A aims to raise the voices of young women and promote their participation in decision-making as well as contributing to achieving gender-equality.
