Wujood

"Wujood" is a project implemented in partnership with local and village councils, popular committees, and community-based organizations in four localities in the governorate of Ramallah and al-Bireh and in cooperation with YWCA/YMCA Sweden and through funding from the Swedish Mission Council.  The project aims to empower young women and men aged 17 – 38 to claim their social and economic rights and train youth specialists on UNSCRs 1325 and 2250.

The project activities include:

- Conducting training workshops on advocacy, coordination and networking, campaign management, protection under international law as well as women’s rights and their protection under occupation in accordance with relevant international conventions, especially UNSCR 1325 on Women, Peace and Security

- Implementing youth-led initiatives and campaigns that contribute to creating an environment that promotes human rights in the targeted areas
